[ND16] 17: The Art of Elements Academy; Re-Upload

For unknown reasons my original Art Of upload on Scribd can not be accessed on the website, claiming that this document has been removed from Scribd, even though it is accessible when I'm signed in to the website, meaning other people are unable to embed it. The same problem occurs when I re-upload a new version, so I've uploaded it with Google Docs instead.

The embed code is:

<iframe src="https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6IRjigAdvGFaG1iVHUxMVdSdTQ/preview" width="640" height="480"></iframe>

For this blog post I have changed the code's width value to "750", which automatically changes the height with it.

@Phil [Major Project] 53: 'Making Of' Progress 02; Revised Design

Phil I've incorporated your feedback from my previous post, how's this? I've also made the canvas a bit bigger to allow 3mm for colour bleeding, and made sure my graphics & text are all within a 5 to 10mm safety area. I don't know much about printing, do I need to include a bleed in the centre of the double page spread?

@Alan [Major Project] 52: 'Making Of' Progress 01; Early Feedback?

Here are a few pages of my Making Of; all but the cover page are to be treated as double-page spreads. I'm uploading these few pages now in hopes of receiving feedback regarding layout, colour, use of font etc. to hopefully avoid having to make massive changes later. While I wait for feedback, I will continue the Iron-centric portion of my Making Of, alongside my other work.

[Minor Project] 35: Iron Character; Head 3D Model Development Page

The page's size is 41.05cm by 23.09cm, with a ratio of 16:9. This allows the page to fit perfectly within the Art Of presentation, and would transfer well into a physical copy of the Art Of. This image is intended to be viewed at a larger size, accessible by left clicking on the image, or right clicking and selecting Open Image in New Tab

Inspired by Tom McDowell's presentation during his visiting lecture, the Elements Academy logo will be visible throughout the Art Of presentation. As above, the requirement of the logo to be depicted on a black / dark background will be expanded into the full presentation; the use of font and its colour also stem from the logo.

[Narrative] 48: A Texture, Base 'Making Of' Theme, Female Rig

Before Sukhi took over and continued the Making Of, I had established the basic theme and colour scheme based off of the cupboard doors seen on our animation. Unfortunately she was unable to access the font I had used, for it would not download. I also designed the "Angry Snail Pizza" texture for the pizza box that hits our male character. I also created the rig for the female character, as well as added her controls. I still need to upload a video of the movement of the skinned female hands and head which I had performed - the rest of the skinning process was performed by Adam.
