Soundscape: Creature Action Sketches and Rough Storyboard So Far

Before I began storyboarding I thought about the way my two main lava creatures would attack or appear, as well as the method by which they would enter the scene such as via a lava flow.

'Stalker' creature, jumping to cut off the man's hand.

'Magma-hound' rising out of the lava flow.

Lava flow coming down from volcano.

It is clear that adjustments to the storyboard need to be made in order to 'cut to the chase' e.g. the battle sequence more quickly. This can be achieved by removing events to accomodate the all-important battle sequence such as much less focus on the sweat found in Shots 8 to 12 and 13b or even by going straight from Shot 7 > 13a > 14b > 14a; storyboarding of the battle sequence while keeping in mind the 60 second animatic duration will help this.
